The latest pattern to be released by Kelly Brooker, for Olive & Emma yarns, is a beanie called 'Mahunga', which is the Maori word for head.
I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this pattern from the lovely Emma of Olive & Emma Designer Yarns.
To pay Emma's generosity forward, I would like to giveaway a beanie, in any size, knit in the Olive & Emma yarn of your choice. All you need to pay for is postage. The pattern ranges in size from premmie baby up to adult.
So to enter, just leave a comment, along with your name and email address below.
Here is just a selection of the Olive & Emma yarns that I have available.

For Girls
So, we had a giveaway of a 'scrappy' soaker for boys so to be fair, I should giveaway a girls 'scrappy' soaker. They're called scrappy only because they are made up of the 'left over' bits of yarn, or the scraps.
This soaker is a size large, measuring approximately 50 cm around the waist - slightly stretched - and a rise of approximately 49 cm.
Your soaker will come to you washed, lanolised and ready to use and also with instructions on how to re-lanolise.
To go into the draw, all you have to do is comment below and leave your email address so I can contact you should you be the lucky winner. The lucky winner will be required to pay postage - $7.50 trackable and signature required.

So, what is happening at Aunty Nat's Knits in November? Each month Sam from AmbeRocks is kindly offering a Feature spot to various businesses.
I'm happy to say that November will be Aunty Nat's Knits turn. So, in order to have enough items ready for sale, I have been knitting up a storm for the last couple of weeks.
On offer will be Rainbow dresses, soakers and shorties. Just to tease you, here's a sneak peek of one of the items that will be on offer.
I hope you'll head over to AmbeRocks and have a look around the site and join me in November.

Next milestone for Aunty Nat's Knits ....
Now that the excitement of the 1st Birthday Celebrations are complete, it's time to think about the next milestone for Aunty Nat's Knits - reaching 1000 likers!
Currently, as I write this blog, we are sitting at 946, but we all know that that changes daily.
I will have to get my thinking cap on and come up with ideas for the next celebration. Any ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated.

A quick catch-up
It's been a while since I last updated my blog. In that time, I've acquired quite a few new likers - up to 761 at the time of writing - have made a multitude of woolies for little people and have developed a liking for a couple of 'new' patterns - well new to me anyway.
I have just made my very first Puerperium Cardigan, a pattern created by the very talented Kelly Brooker. Puerperium is a very simply styled cardi, designed to be easy for new parents to dress their babe in the puerperium period (6 weeks post birth). It is such a quick pattern to knit up and produces gorgeous results. Shown here in Pink Dahlia colourway in Olive and Emma yarn.
Kelly has also created the 'Beyond Puerperium' which can be knit in sizes newborn up to 2 years. If there is enough interest in the Beyond Puerperium, I will look at aquiring a cottage licence to knit and sell.
I have also taken a liking to another of Kelly's patterns - Tama - wondering how to say the name of this pattern, or exactly what it means? The designer comes from New Zealand where the second national language is Maori. Tama is a Maori word meaning ‘boy’ or ‘son’, pronounced ‘taah-maah’.
A classic raglan sweater with clean sharp lines, and a focal buttonband running along the raglan increase. I now have a cottage licence to knit and sell the Tama.
Always on the lookout for new yarns, I have fallen in love with the beautiful yarn that Emma from Olive and Emma yarns has been dyeing - some of whic the Puerperium cardigan above has been knit from. I have plans for another colourway I have - a special set that I am knitting for the upcoming WAHM Delights market night on 29th July. Here's a sneak peek of what I will be working with.
